Dreams: We Won’t Be Moved

I wasn’t going to do another blog post for at least another week and it is going to be a teaching on faith for God’s plans, but I have an urgency in my spirit. I suppose this post does relate to faith for promises as well. I think I was supposed to write this yesterday but I didn’t. I should have done everything I could to get it out because just last night I had a dream that I may want to write another blog post about.

The purpose of my posts that start with “Dreams” are to share a dream I had and try to interpret it the best way I can. Comments about these posts are very welcomed. The dream I had the night before last was rather odd. In my dream I was writing a paragraph about the church. This seems rather odd to me because I don’t go to church.

I do believe that we should go to church or be part of a gathering of believers. All throughout the Bible including the new testament there are examples of how we are to supposed to attend church. I like to watch church services online and I would be going to church if I could. I know I will be going to church when I am able to.

Please people if someone does not go to church don’t judge them. There may be a reason they cannot go. Physical or mental health, financial, work, and location of residence may all be valid reasons someone cannot attend church. If you really want someone to attend church, maybe you can help make it possible or at least pray for them to be able to. Ok I am getting a little off topic here as I usually do so I will get back to the dream now.

In my dream about writing about church I was writing down the scripture Psalm 18:2 which states “The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.” I believe this scripture can relate to church. From this scripture we can see that God is our deliverer. He delivers us from all our troubles (Psalm 34:17). He is also our strength. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us (Philippians 4:13). We have the strength to trust God.

If there are plans or promises God made known to us we need to trust him to bring them to pass. After waking from this dream I thought of the scripture Jeremiah 29:11 which says “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” I think it is time for us to stop worrying because God said he gives us a future filled with peace. God’s plans are wonderful and He knows how to help us walk into them.

Some of us may be walking into his plans and not even realize it. We might think that God has to get us to our destination a certain way but Isaiah 55:8 says God’s ways are not our ways. I think God might do something opposite of what people think to confuse the devil. Maybe he does not always want the devil to know we are walking in His will. God also doesn’t always want us to know what is going on because he wants to see us trust him.

I will close this post by saying this: If we are operating in the will of God we will reach the destination God planned. In Psalm 62:5 David said “My soul, wait silently for God alone, for my expectation is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved.”

We need to wait with expectancy as David did. He knew God would deliver him from trouble and we should believe the same. David was not moved with fear because he expected God to move for him. I believe there is going to be a great move of God soon, which I will address in the next blog post. But as we wait we are to wait as David did with a quiet and peaceful soul.
