I am back with another post about dreams. I need to catch up because I keep having more. Just last night I had a dream symbolic of the true bride of Christ which I may post about tomorrow or the next day. I don’t give all of them away but I choose the dreams that relate most to the plans God has for His bride. A few nights ago I had a dream that a teenage girl was preaching on stage. It looked like a stage in a high school with an American flag on it. This girl was an amazing teacher and people were amazed at the revelation and truth she spoke. If this was a prophetic dream it is no surprise to me. God said that “It shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy…” (Joel 2:28). The girl in my dream was someone’s daughter. I believe every great teaching includes something prophetic or has a prophetic aspect to it.
In my dream I heard a voice say “Those who speak truth speak it in wisdom and power.” I looked this up but I don’t see a Bible verse on it. Please let me know in the comments if you believe it is a certain scripture. When people who are called speak the truth of the word of God they have wisdom and power from the Lord. Some may not like the idea of a teenager preaching, but “God uses the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty…” (1 Corinthians, 1:27). I think that the word wise in this scripture means those who are “wise in their own eyes” (Isaiah 5:21).
God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things; and the things that are not; to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him (1 Corinthians 1 28-29). God can do what He wants to do. If God wants a teenage girl to preach than that is what He makes happen. Look at the people he used in the Bible. God can use people the “wise” people think are foolish or weak. “With God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26). Some people think that I am foolish for writing this blog because I don’t make money off of it. They don’t understand the concept that God will reward me. In some ways He already has. I don’t get paid to do this and I have not received one donation but I do this because God told me to. Even though this blog may seem foolish it may be used to confound the wise for God’s glory.
I don’t think the dream I had only applies to a specific teenage girl, or at least I don’t think so. I did see a name but I usually don’t give everything away. I think this dream is mostly symbolic of how God calls who He chooses. God can call people who don’t seem to be qualified according to the standards of society. In First Corinthians 26 Paul tells us: “For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called.” Notice He said “not many.” God can still use these people. I am just trying to make the point that Jesus is no respecter of persons (Romans 2:11). I believe this includes people in poverty.
Have you ever noticed how many people God uses in big ways who are either in poverty or who were once in poverty? Jesus and his disciples would actually appear to be poor upon first glance according to our standards today. If we saw them walking around most of us would thing they were poor. They didn’t drive vehicles and their feet got dirty. Don’t get me wrong, I am a fan of prosperity teaching, as long as it doesn’t take advantage of people or put people in poverty down. Poverty is not always a person’s fault. Some people grew up in poverty and were victims of unfortunate circumstances. Similarly, most people who have a disability did not cause it upon themselves.
There is an example in the Bible about a blind man who was accused of causing the disability upon himself. The Disciples of Jesus asked Jesus what sin the blind man committed to cause his blindness. Jesus responded with “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him” (John 9:3). God knew that he can use the man’s blindness to display His glory. God can use people who went through difficult circumstances in life to display His glory by teaching His word in wisdom and power.
God can help a person get out of poverty and use their testimony but He can also use them while they are in it. Every child of God has to start somewhere. We have to take those first steps. As I wrote in Step Into The New Ezekiel did something big for God by doing what appeared to be small and foolish. Speaking of unconventional or foolish Jesus spit in a blind man’s eyes to heal him (Mark 8:23). This blind man’s healing was used as a testimony as well. God healed a lot of blind people to prove the point that He can help us see when we are blind.
In relation to the dream, after thinking about the phrase those who speak truth speak it in wisdom and power, in my spirit I heard “They will enlarge their territory.” I thought well that is amazing and interesting. This phrase immediately reminded me of the prayer of Jabez which is found in 1 Chronicles 4:10. I made sure to say this prayer today. I believe those of us who speak truth would benefit from saying this prayer. As the song “Weapons of Our Warfare” states we need to take up our weapons of warfare to take that territory that belongs to God. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4). We can pull down those strongholds that limit us so that we can display the glory of God!
Powerful message. Thank you for sharing. Have a blessed day!

Thanks for reminding me, no matter how weak I feel, physically or spiritually there are still the weapons of Warfare to pull down the strongholds. We can count on the Lord’s strength to help us pull them down!
