Dreams: Bride of Christ

I planned to post this yesterday but I have been very busy. Here at home I have a 10 month old, 3 year old, teenager, and husband. I am also learning how to record for YouTube or podcasts. I’m going to start out by just reading a few of my blog posts. I am rewriting them a little to make them more presentable. I am not feeling well as I have felt an illness come on but I am drinking honey tea and having faith. By His stripes I am healed and I can do all things through Christ (1 Peter 2:24, Philippians 4:13). The joy of the Lord is my strength! (Nehemiah 8:10).

The dream I am sharing at this time was very different from anything I have ever dreamed. There were two brides in my dream. At first there was a blonde bride with short hair looking upon a table set before her. On the table was a wedding cake with a topper. The topper was a replica of the bride as it looked just like her. It was a beautiful table that was intricately prepared for her, but she didn’t recognize that. She did not look very thankful or happy about it. She looked as though there were other worries on her mind. It didn’t seem as though the joy of the Lord was within her. It seemed as though this part of my dream was a blur with this bride because she did not stand out much. Then certain details of the situation changed.

The bride and wedding topper were replaced with a red head with long curly hair. She was extremely exited, joyful, and thankful. She didn’t seem to have many worries or concerns on her mind. She was in the moment enjoying her time. She seemed to be jumping up and down a little with her excitement. After I woke from this dream I though wow that’s strange. I don’t attend any weddings and I didn’t have a fancy wedding myself. My wedding was a last minute thing to be done as soon as possible as my husband and I decided we wanted to obey the Lord ASAP. My mother threw something together for us very quickly and with very little money God bless her. Weddings have not been on my mind.

The wedding in my dream is symbolic of the bride of Christ. The first bride resresents the people who think they are the body of Christ. They are “lovers of themselves” and they have a “form of Godliness but deny the power thereof” (2 Timothy 3:5). Their hearts are not in the right place. They worry about themselves and their desires rather than what is on the heart of God. As I mentioned in The Jezebel Spirit Part 2 being selfish is not a good place to be.

God is going to replace the selfish bride with the selfless bride. He is going to set a table for His bride in the presence of their enemies (Psalm 23:5). God will give us the desires of our heart (Psalm 37:4). These desires are His desires for us and the ones He promised to those who have a heart for Him. We may have been hidden for a while in the wilderness. We may not look like much in the eyes of society. I feel the presence of God as I write this. Praise God!

David did not look like much to society as he was just an ostracized shepard boy. Even his mother and father forsook him. But God saw his heart as he praised the Lord. If you would like to read the story of David you can find it in 1 Samuel in the Bible. As He saw the heart of David, God saw the heart of the second bride in my dream and knew she was the one. David praised the Lord during difficult circumstances in his life.

If you are in a difficult situation know that God sees your heart and He can make things right for you. If you are ostracized it may just be a temporary situation so that you can be prepared for the groom. David wasn’t just waiting. He prepared for God’s plans in the wilderness. You may be preparing and not even know it. All my life I have been sharpening my vocal and writing skills. I didn’t know I was preparing but I will soon see that I was as God’s plans come to pass. The attacks from the enemy in the wilderness have strengthened me. Don’t be surprised at the attacks as you prepare. David had to wrestle wild life and flee for his life in the wilderness. Through his trials he was strengthened and won. With Christ we win!

Mostly everything in my dream including the dress, cake, and table cloth were bright white. I believe white represents the glory of God. I wrote in God’s Presence: Grace how everything was a white light when God was beginning to appear. I only saw the outline of his face and it scared me so bad I shut it down. That bright white light was glorious. So glorious it scared me.

Praise God! He will prepare a table for us. He is our peace, our hope, and our light! No one can stop us. If God is for us who can be against us? (Romans 8:31). The creator of the universe loves us enough to call us His bride. That is why God tells men to love their wives like He loves the church (Ephesians 5:25). As I stated I don’t attend church as in a physical building, but God still loves me because I am still part of the Body. I still obey God’s rules.

It drives people with the religious spirit crazy when you don’t abide by their rules but we don’t have to. We are not to fear people. God said to not fear those who can kill the body but fear Him who can kill the body and soul (Matthew 10:28). I fear the Lord and when He tells me to go to church I will. I know God has plans for my family and I plan to attend a certain church as He has shown me in my dreams. People who are close to God know His ways are not our ways and so we must obey Him (Isaiah 55:8).

The greatest way we can obey the Lord is by following His commandments. Jesus said the greatest commandment is to love Him with all our heart… He also said the second greatest commandment is to love your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22:37-39). We need to ask ourselves when we interact with someone if are we treating them the way we would like to be treated, even when we believe we have been treated badly.

Most of us have difficulty in the area of forgiving. Many of us have been beat down by the devil our whole lives. It’s hard to forgive those who hurt us so deeply but we can do all things through Christ (Philippians 4:13). We fight the devil not flesh (Ephesians 6:12). We need to love the person and hate the devil. We need to forgive. Unforgiveness creates a bitter heart which will cause us to not love one another. Unforgiveness is within the first bride in my dream who gets little attention and disappears. The true bride in my dream forgives as she was not bitter. We cannot be bitter as we accept gifts from God.

We need to examine whether we are bitter toward God in any way. We cannot blame God for our troubles. God loves us and wants us to let Him love us. We need to let Him pour his love into us so we can display His love to other people. Part of loving God is trusting God by having faith for His promises. We praise you Jesus for your unfailing love. Praise the Lord O you bride of Christ! We don’t deserve His love but His grace is sufficient. He pours His love upon us and He has prepared a table for us. We receive it and we celebrate it Lord. We are thankful for you and love you Lord. We will be frontrunners for your Shekinah Glory as we are your bride!
